I am a first year Ph.D. student in University of California, San Diego. My advisor is Prof. Truong Nguyen and my research topic is stereo panorama.

Previously, I finished my master's degree in Boston University, where I had a wonderful time working at Video Processing Lab. It was a privilege to be advised by Prof. Janusz Konrad and Prof. Prakash Ishwar. I was jointly affiliated with Smart Lighting ERC at that time. My research topic was Towards Privacy-Preserving Human Activity Recognition and Pose Estimation. We exploited the possibility of using extremely limited data to accomplish the human activity recognition task.

Before coming to United States, I spent 22 years in Shanghai,  the city where I was born and breed. I was picked by Shanghai Jiao Tong University for my performance in the university's own test on logic and reasoning. My advisor during my undergrad study was Prof. Xinbing Wang, and my research was mainly focusing on wireless communication.

I am also a big fan of sport and follow many teams. Being a Liverpool fan for more than 13 years (started at 2002), I am half sad half happy for Stevie's departure to LA Galaxy. The happy part is since I am moving to California as well, this makes it possible to watch him in person. I am also a Red Sox fan since 2010, big salute to Pedey and Papi! Boston also makes me a Patriots fan, you really can't say no to a champion team.

Other hidden parts of me can be found in my blogs,  which you are more than welcome to dig into.
